Street Collection Results

We are proud to announce that the amount of donations collected during the street collection of this 22nd edition of the Guignolée des médias du Suroît surpassed last year’s results, with a total of $138,010 raised.

We have also received several monetary donations since the start of the campaign, totaling $53,121. To date, we are proud and grateful to announce a cumulative total of $191,131.

Moisson Sud-Ouest, the Suroît food bank, would like to thank its partners, the organizing committee, the media, municipalities, volunteers, and all donors for their involvement and commitment.

The Guignolée street collection took place on Thursday, December 4, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Our volunteers were stationed at 16 street collection sites across 9 cities to collect donations.

It’s important to emphasize that every dollar collected during the Guignolée des médias plays a crucial role. These funds enable our food bank to help feed the region all year long — especially as the needs continue to grow.

The funds raised during the Guignolée des médias are absolutely essential to the food bank’s operations throughout the entire year.

Moisson Sud-Ouest would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who participated in the 2025 Guignolée des médias.

Last year, more than 500 volunteers took part in the Guignolée. It is thanks to them that the event was such a great success. Together, we are making a difference in our community!

What did the collection day involve for volunteers?

The street collection day is filled with laughter, good vibes, and teams of big-hearted people. Each site features festive music! Come hum along to your favorite Christmas and folk songs while collecting donations from drivers at road intersections.

Depending on how long you volunteer, coffee and meals are offered to thank you for your involvement. Shelters are also available to make sure you can stay warm throughout the day.

Participating in the Guignolée des médias du Suroît is a rewarding and meaningful experience that allows you to make a real difference in the lives of many people in our region. Each year, we are deeply grateful for the dedication of our volunteers — and we hope to count you among them this year!
